What happens when libertarians, Bitcoiners, and civil liberty advocates gather in a country where free speech is under growing pressure?
Some may deny it but when freedom of expression is tolerated only as long as the topic is harmless or of no priority to the government, while government critical voices can face media defamation, house searches, criminal charges, frozen bank accounts or even asset seizures it becomes clear that free speech is not as safe as many believe.
The monetary system also plays a fundamental role in this question. We attended Afuera Fest as Bitcoiners to see how open libertarians are to this topic. Because only those who understand control over money can fully grasp its impact on freedom and repression.
Afuera Fest, a private gathering in Germany, brought together political dissidents, media personalities, influencers, and politicians. Some of them had faced surveillance, raids, or even exile, yet all were united by a shared belief in freedom and open debate.
